Mastering the Art of Scrambled Eggs: Tips for Perfect Fluffy Eggs Every Time!

Scrambled eggs are a breakfast staple enjoyed around the world for their simplicity and versatility. When made right, they can be a delicious and nutritious start to your day. Whether you prefer them creamy or firm, plain or loaded with toppings, mastering the art of the scrambled egg is a skill worth cultivating. In this blog post, we'll explore the keys to making the perfect scrambled eggs, along with some tips, tricks, and delicious recipe ideas.

Choose the Right Eggs: Start with fresh, high-quality eggs. If possible, use free-range or organic eggs for the best flavor and texture.

Beat Thoroughly: For fluffy scrambled eggs, vigorously beat the eggs with a fork only until well combined. If you over beat eggs, you are encouraging the proteins to begin to unfold and then combine together, which you do not want to do before the cooking.

Add the Fat: Fat helps keep your eggs tender. You can add a about a tablespoon of milk, half and half or cream for added richness, but the ultimate fat is of course butter. One tablespoon of good butter per egg will result in the most magnificent eggs you have ever had!

Use the Right Pan: Use a non-stick or well-seasoned SMALL skillet to prevent the eggs from sticking. A medium-sized pan works best for even cooking.

Low and Slow: Begin with medium heat and once very little raw egg is left, turn the heat to low. This allows them to cook gently, resulting in creamy, tender eggs. In addition, don't overcook your eggs. Take them off the heat at least 15-20 seconds early and let the pans residual  heat finish the job.

Fold Em! Don't whisk eggs while in the pan. Gently fold them once they begin to set and less is more.

Salt! Season the eggs with salt and pepper just before cooking. Salt has more purpose than just flavor for eggs. When you heat eggs, they of course begin to coagulate. Salt actually acts as a buffer of sorts helping keep your eggs moist. For best results salt your eggs about 10 minutes before cooking. For even great results, use our Warrior Blends Infused Sea Salt and our Boreal Pepper Blend! If you don't want to use salt, add a few drops of Lemon juice instead.

Add Mix-Ins: Get creative with your scrambled eggs by adding in ingredients like cheese, herbs, vegetables, or cooked meats. Just make sure to cook any raw ingredients before adding the eggs. My favorite, is fresh chopped chives.

Serve Immediately: Scrambled eggs are best enjoyed hot off the pan. Serve them on toast, with a side of bacon or sausage, or alongside some fresh fruit for a complete meal or my favorite, a tortilla.

Recipe Ideas:

1. Cheesy Scrambled Eggs: Add grated cheddar cheese to the eggs before cooking for extra creaminess and flavor.

2. Veggie Scramble: Sautee diced bell peppers, onions, and spinach in the skillet before adding the eggs. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the eggs are set.

4. Mediterranean Scramble: Add chopped tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and a sprinkle of oregano to the eggs for a taste of the Mediterranean.

5. Tex-Mex Scramble: Stir in cooked chorizo, diced tomatoes, onions, and shredded cheddar cheese and our Tomahawk Warriors Blend for a spicy twist.
