Ingredients
-
1/2 cup strong hot coffee or 2 shots espresso
-
2 cups of milk of your choice
-
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree or more to taste (I prefer Libby’s or of course make your own/see notes for optional drying) or use our pumpkin butter recipe.
-
1 tablespoon Pumpkin Spice Latte
-
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
-
Whipped cream, optional for serving
Directions
Add milk and pumpkin puree (or pumpkin butter) to a saucepan over medium heat. Slowly heat the milk until hot, but do not boil
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin spice latte, and the coffee or espresso. Taste and adjust with more spice as desired
Fill two cups and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice latte
Recipe Note
Looking for a richer pumpkin flavor? Dry your pumpkin. Spread 4 tablespoons of pumpkin puree on a plate and gently pat with a paper towel. This removes the liquid and will reduce the pumpkin typically by half. Also try replacing the puree with out pumpkin butter recipe.
